The right blood for everyone who needs it
Sustainable Blood is a new six-year research program bringing together communities, patients, scientists and blood services to make blood donation more welcoming and transfusion safer, so every patient can get blood that is right for them.
The program is led by Dr. Lisa Willis at the University of Alberta, with researchers from eight universities in Canada and Australia, Canadian Blood Services, patient and community organizations, and blood services on four continents.
